WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF FARM4THEFUTURE?

We are creating a sustainable farm in Goma to stimulate local food production and employment.

Through small-scale, responsible chicken farming we provide protein-rich food, local income and economic opportunities.

Innovative cultivation methods enable more efficient use of space and increase food production in the city.

We are building a farm that will operate independently in the long term and promote sustainable food security. Local income reduces dependency on donations, while own food production contributes to healthy nutrition and economic stability.

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

In Congo we are working hard on the realization of our urban farm! Earlier we shared the news about the purchase of the plot of land, and now we can proudly report that the construction has gained momentum. Thanks to the generous support of a committed sponsor, we are making great strides towards a sustainable and self-sufficient farm.

To provide full transparency, we report to our sponsor every quarter, so that we can guarantee that every euro is well spent and that the farm will soon generate income for the foundation.

If everything goes according to plan, construction will be completed in early 2025 and we can start keeping chickens that same year. The photos show how far we have come: from a sturdy fence to an impressive entrance gate. The dream of a thriving urban farm is getting closer! 🐔🌱
