Congo Solutions
4Watoto has a contract with the security company Congo Solutions. Originally a company from Beni, but has been working in Goma for a few years now. Our guards Moise Anguzu, Chance and Omari are employed by the company. 4Watoto and Congo Solutions have agreed on a one-year contract with the possibility of extension.
What are the 4Watoto guards doing?
- Surveillance
- Keep daily minutes of everyone entering and leaving + times
- Monitor visitors
- Inform district and collecting information from the neighbourhood
- Keep an eye out when children are playing outside
- There is security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Congo Solutions guards have to undergo 6 months of intensive training before they can be put on a job
- Experienced security guards
- Pleasant interaction with the neighborhood, everyone maintains contact through motorola's
- Good connections between the company and the police, the police may always be called
- When reinforcement is needed, an entire Congo Solutions team comes along
Arlette Bashizi
Arlette Bashizi is a freelance photographer based in Goma who mainly covers music, culture and everyday life. She is a member of the Collectif Goma Oeil and the Congo Women's Photographers Network.
The collaboration with Arlette Bashizi means that when the 4Watoto foundation has photography assignments, Arlette carries them out.
