4Watoto ambition
We inspire, involve and facilitate people in an infectious way to do concrete things for each other and the world. Both in DR Congo and the Netherlands with impact and a focus on equal opportunities for children.
With Young People
The youth of the Netherlands together with the youth of DR Congo.
With Congolese population
The organization 4Watoto within DR Congo consists of Congolese people. 4Watoto attaches great importance to the fact that the children within its organization are raised by people in whom they can recognize themselves and who carry the culture with them, which they are used to.
Congo Solutions
4Watoto has a contract with the security company Congo Solutions. Originally a company from Beni but has been active in Goma for a few years. Our guards Issa and Gloire are employed by the company. 4Watoto and Congo Solutions have drawn up a 5-year contract.
Focus on transparency
4Watoto works transparently. In our newsletters we show exactly what has already been achieved. With us, 100% of the donated money goes to realizing our mission.
In everything we do, we put the child at the center.
4Watoto acts in the best interest of the child and believes that the children's rights as set out in the International Convention on the Rights of the Child must be guaranteed.
The projects we work on are therefore full of love, passion, innovation, inclusivity and based on scientific evidence.
Children are the future. Protecting children is simply good for everyone. If we want to take better care of each other and therefore also of nature, we will have to take better care of children.
We work together in the Netherlands and DR Congo with people, companies, other charities and organizations, at a local level and worldwide via our social media.
We take action together because we have to take care of the children who will lead the world.
We do this together, so this has a lot to do with creating connections between different groups of people. In our eyes, these "different" groups of people are not that different at all.
After all, we are all human, with the same palette of emotions and feelings, regardless of the external circumstances. Whether we work on local projects or large initiatives: we are there where we – together with others – can have the greatest impact on the well-being of children.
