4Watoto's mission is to provide housing, facilities and utilities for torn communities in North Kivu (DR Congo). Currently 4Watoto does this by providing in the basic needs of children and guiding them in their journey to adulthood. 4Watoto commits herself to help orphans, including children who roam homeless on the streets of Goma in eastern Congo and war-victims of surrounding villages. 4Watoto provides these children with a home where they can feel safe and loved, develop themselves, eat healthy, learn and play. To say it short: to really allow them to be a child. 

What does 4Watoto stand for?

• Guaranteeing children's rights, with a focus on education, reunion and care.
  
• Support the local economy.
  
• Restore the damaged communities from which these children come and take environmental responsibility.
  
• Provide education in both worlds in which it operates. In DR Congo with the main goal to offer as many children with fewer opportunities relevant education of a high level. In the Netherlands to create awareness.
  

The 4Watoto Foundation operates in two countries, the common goal is to establish a connection that creates knowledge transfer, cooperation and mutual understanding.

These values ​​are implemented in the performance of the work. Above all, 4Watoto strives for the recovery, growth and loving care of children. 4Watoto wants the rights of the child, as enshrined in the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, to be guaranteed. The foundation does everything within its power to realize these children's rights.

4Watoto's mission will not be finished until:

• The children within the doors of 4Watoto can independently walk the path of his / her life through guidance and support.
  
• Multiple children are reunited with family members through 4Watoto's reunion plan. 
  
• Several communities within North Kivu province have been restored.
  
• Many children are educated through our actions.
  
• We have contributed to a deeper sense of unity within the world.
